2017 Wrap Up & Blog Post Round-Up

Before the year 2017 closes I want to take a few moments to thank everyone who has supported this website. I appreciate all the likes, shares and just the fact that you took time to read. I hope it has been a blessing for you and will continue to be so in the years to come.

For me, the gap between December 31 and January 1 is huge. It’s a time to reflect on what went well and what didn’t. it’s a good time to look back and all that you’ve accomplished over the year and how you’ve grown. It’s also a good place to identify the things that could be improved on. For the past couple of years, I have chosen a word to focus on – my word for both 2016 and 2017 was faith.

Have I learned how to be faithful? It’s still a work in progress. Over the past two years, I’ve come to realize that faith grows in the little things. We’re not always going to have an ‘Abraham-why-don’t-you-sacrifice-your-only-son’ moment. But we will always have those ‘how-does-my-decision-reflect-Christ’ moments. The gift of faith is to keep choosing Christ even when there’s none there to see our sacrifice.

This year I’m using Lavendaire’s 5 questions as a year-end wrap-up.

I encourage you to take some time to look to reflect on this year so that you can have the right mindset to go forward.
